I tried to save and reload, but could never get a red mod to pop up. My luck was bad on the nests that would pop up. I basically bounced between the different outposts on the campaign and survived the different swarms that would attack. I had my 4 slots filled with the highest energy sensors I could craft. Posted by SimonG on 24 Oct 21 at I cant find enough ferro nite where do you get it? Edit: finally found it on one of the volcanic areas, kill the snail like creatures and smash blue crystals Posted by Melman V2 on 13 Nov 21 at This was my last achievement and I went back to my save before starting the rift back to Earth. I got plenty of "reduced ammo cost" and "rate of fire" mods. What makes it kinda tedious is, that not every mod fits in the sword. The mods were in the waves and the "above earth nodes" those that trigger waves of small enemies. I got it in the endame quite easy in a high threat desert area. Clearing a map of them nets me maybe one and a couple of purples. Discovery features most often do drop decorative items and movement mods, but they still have a better than average chance to drop high end mods. I got 6 more last night in about an hour of farting around. What difficulty are you on? I went on normal but wondering if higher difficulties increase drop rate significantly? Posted by Povey 90 on 24 Oct 21 at Are you scanning everything, especially nests? And picking up the green DNA? The higher rank you get in your journal the better the drop rate for those enemies. Also the nests are not dropping any mods for me. I already had 4 x energy sensors equiped. Any tips? Posted by Povey 90 on 23 Oct 21 at Posted by TymanTheLong on 24 Oct 21 at Thanks for the tips. Finished the campaign and had 1 red mod for the sword. I have all the right attachments to help mod drops but nothing ever pops up do you have any suggestions? Posted by Draco on 23 Oct 21 at Having the same issue. I've been playing for hours looking for more. I've only found a single one and no matter what I do no more red will drop.

I can't seem to find any more red weapon attachment mods. This is the very last achievement I need. Also enemy nests have a very high drop rate I literally got two red mods from 3 nests while typing this. So use radars to find as many as possible and warp back to base to do as much killing as possible when your base is under attack. On high threat maps they have pretty good odds to drop nice mods. Discovery features the ones that you hold X on and get swarmed by enemies have an extremely high mod drop rate. EDIT: If you are having trouble getting mods. As soon as it pops, reload, as you may not want to waste Rhodenite on the sword, nor your best mods. Once you have all 3 of any mod type you can save your game, build the sword, apply the mods and maybe equip it. Riggs gear also researched for the best versions.
